I have been a member of the California Bar in private practice since June 1990. I have been practicing Family Law since June 1990 and have resided in and practiced in Orange County continuously for 13 years. I have extensive experience representing clients in varied family law matters. I also, on occasion, will act as a mediator but cannot represent either party if mediation is unsuccessful.
I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree from California State University Fullerton in June 1985. I later received my juris doctorate from Western State University -Orange County in 1988.
I am also appointed by the Court to represent minor children when the Court deems minors counsel is necessary and appropriate.
For relaxation I enjoy riding my bicycle on the boardwalks of Huntington Beach as well as skiing, reading, and backpacking.
My paralegals and I are focused on solving problems. My goal is to create productive, positive and cost effective solutions for each of my clients. I have a reputation in the Orange County legal community for my ability to look at the particulars of a case and determine early on what action should, or should not be taken. I realize and understand the financial and emotional costs that go along with any family law matter. My philosophy is to attempt to settle the issues in a manner fair to the husband and wife as well as the children but also recognize the importance of knowing when to boldly and readily confront an unreasonable adversary. Every family law matter is unique in its own issues and dynamics. I respect these differences and pride myself and my staff on being able to address the specific problems that my clients encounter.
I am a member in good standing with the California State Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.
I am available to meet with prospective clients on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Under extreme circumstances I am available after 6:00 p.m. by appointment only.
